Quicksilver’s Supporters 📈
The Quicksilver Protocol was founded by Joe Bowman, Vish Modali, and Roea Mortaki, with the mission to bring a premier Liquid Staking solution to the Cosmos, one that will maximize liquidity and improve user experience without sacrificing on network security and decentralization. Earlier last month they released details on the project’s seed funding. The investors are mostly key contributors within the Cosmos ecosystem, including Figment, Strangelove Ventures, Zero Knowledge Validator, Interop Ventures, Iqlusion, Ki Foundation, Cerulean Ventures, Chorus One, 01node, and Moonlet. Quicksilver’s Value Proposition🥇
As we’re ramping up to launch, we have been releasing more information around our value proposition as well as differentiators.
As of Genesis, the Quicksilver Core Team will not have any more control over the network than the average user. Learn why here:
Assets will never leave native chains when being liquid staked on Quicksilver. Find out why this is important here:
Quicksilver will be leveraging the Liquidity Staking Module (LSM) to bring interchain liquid staking to Cosmonauts, but not all onboarded chains will have the LSM enabled upon their onboarding onto Quicksilver. Find out what this means for users here:
A Quick Update on Juno ☄️
The Juno chain halted on July 28 when validators failed to reach consensus due to a denial of service attack. After finding a solution to the bug, Juno core Devs were quick to realize that other chains that used CosmWasm could face the same vulnerability, hopefully preventing other chains from falling to the same attack.
Juno’s proposal to increase the minimum deposit parameters for their governance module passed last week. The Juno community approved this change in order to deter spam proposals.
DOT enters the IBC 🟣
Axelar will enable Osmosis users to trade DOT through their canonical bridge. Through a series of three proposals, the Osmosis community created an Osmo/DOT pool, added DOT to the list of Major category assets, and voted to bootstrap DOT liquidity incentives.
A Quick Update on EVMOS 🔗
The Evmos team team confirmed that the chain is still functioning properly following the Nomad ERC-20 bridge was exploited earlier this week, which drained most of the assets on it. The EVMOS team is working together with Nomad to find a solution to the exploit.
EVMOS announced it will become an Interchain Security provider once the feature is rolled out, meaning other Cosmos SDK chains will be able to use EVMOS’s validator set for their own chain’s security.
